Friends of Windmill Primary School
Welcome to the Friends of Windmill Primary (FOWP) page. We are a friendly group of parents and carers who are dedicated to raising funds for our school. We are very proud of our achievements to date and have been overwhelmed by the support from all the families attending the school.
One of our biggest successes was to secure a £10,000 grant from The National Lottery Fund and also independently we raised a further £3000 towards the full cost of providing sun shading canopies for the playgrounds.
One of our on-going projects is to provide the school library with books and so far we have raised well over £5000 and with your help we hope to keep this figure growing.
We have also raised £1000 for our sensory and emotional support room to purchase some lovely equipment. In addition to this, £2000 has been given to the school for trips and classroom enrichment.
How are the funds spent?
All the money raised by FOWP is fed directly into the school.
Our current aims are to:
- continue raising money for the school library.
- support the school with their development of the outdoor areas.
- contribute towards costs for school trips.
- provide additional back-up funds where the school need it.
- provide money to maintain equipment for our sensory and emotional room.
We also help out with smaller school activities like providing tea, coffee and refreshments for school events and organising the annual school discos.
