GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

A Typical Day at Nursery

8:45  

Doors open. Children are welcomed into the nursery and encouraged to hang up their coats and bags on their pegs and put their water bottle and lunchbox in the trays provided.

 

8.45-9.30

Soft start to allow children time to settle and explore their learning environment

 

9.30

Pause play. Children to pause what they are doing. Resources can remain out if the space is safe and carpet is free from distractions.

 

9.30-9.35

Morning circle time to say hello and sing songs. Welcome the children to nursery.

 

9.35-9.45

 

 

Group time – Foundations for Phonics

9.45-11.00

Discovery Time

During this time, we will open snack and change nappies.

Tidy up time.

 

11.10-11.20

Group time – Number song of the week is sung using props and visual aids to support.

Get ready for lunch – toilet time, wash hands and collect lunchboxes

 

11.30-12.00
