Mark Making Skills in Nursery

In nursery we have been busy exploring and developing our mark making skills and creating some fantastic pieces of artwork, to display on our art wall. The children have been testing and trying a range of mark making tools from paintbrushes to rollers and sponges and even toothbrushes! They have also been experimenting with different techniques, and it has been lovely to see them enjoy the different processes, as well as the end results.

We recently created pieces of art using kitchen roll in place of paper and pipettes filled with watered down paint; the children really enjoyed watching the different colours merge together and the overall effect.
