GLF Schools was founded in 2012 in order to enable the federation of Glyn School (an academy in 2011) and Danetree Junior School. Together, we began our journey to become a MAT of more than 1000 talented staff working with over 10,000 children in 40 schools across 5 regions in southern England.

MP Clive Jones Visits Windmill

Windmill had a thrilling start to the week with a visit from our local MP Clive Jones to discuss the school's journey towards their Gold Rights Respecting School Award. This award, given by UNICEF UK, recognises schools that have fully embedded children's rights into their ethos and curriculum, ensuring every child is respected, valued, and heard.

Mr Jones was asked lots of questions during assembly, then given a school tour by members of the School Council. We rounded off the morning with our School Council and Eco Committees talking to Mr Jones about their acheivements so far and aspirations for the school, we are so proud of their enthusiam!
