Windmill Cares
‘Windmill Cares’ is a school initiative that cultivates compassion, understanding, and action within the school community. Rooted in the belief that small acts of kindness can ripple into profound change, Windmill Cares is dedicated to fostering a culture of citizenship and social responsibility.
At its core, Windmill Cares is about raising awareness. Through assemblies, lessons, activities and events, pupils are empowered with knowledge about pressing social issues, from environmental conservation to mental health and neurodiversity. By understanding the world around them, pupils become catalysts for change, equipped to tackle challenges with empathy and insight.
Promoting inclusion lies at the heart of Windmill Cares. Recognising the importance of diversity and acceptance, the initiative champions a community where everyone feels valued and respected.
Through partnerships with local and national charities and community organizations, pupils have the opportunity: to organise fundraisers, participate in community clean-ups and engage in volunteering. Our pupils are actively contributing to the betterment of our community.
Windmill Cares contributes to shaping the ethos of the school, inspiring pupils to be compassionate leaders and active citizens. By fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy, Windmill Cares empowers pupils to make a positive impact, both within their school walls and beyond.
Our Windmill Cares initiative is built around 6 strands.
